Top Orthopedic Surgeons collects information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, submit a consultation request, or leave a review. This may include: Name and email address, phone number (optional), account credentials, review content and ratings, and consultation request details. We also automatically collect certain usage data when you use Top Orthopedic Surgeons, including pages visited, search queries, and browser/device information through standard web analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve our services; process and deliver consultation requests to surgeons; send account and service communications; moderate reviews for authenticity and appropriateness; analyze usage trends to improve the platform; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information: With surgeons — when you submit a consultation request, your name, email, phone number, and message are shared with the requested surgeon’s office. With service providers — we use Supabase for database and authentication services. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements. As required by law — we may disclose information in response to valid legal process.

4. Surgeon Profile Data

Surgeon profile information (name, specialty, location, phone, address) is sourced from the publicly available NPI Public Registry maintained by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This information is publicly available by law. If you are a listed surgeon and wish to update or remove your information, please contact us.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, secure HTTPS transmission, and row-level security controls on all database tables. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You may: access and update your account information at any time from your profile page; request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@orthoconnect.com; and opt out of marketing communications via the unsubscribe link in any email.

7. Cookies

Top Orthopedic Surgeons uses essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.

8. Children’s Privacy

Top Orthopedic Surgeons is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
